Kanye West disrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video at the 2009 MTV Video Awards. Kanye lept on stage, grabbed the mic from Taylor, and proclamined, ““Taylor, I’m really happy for you. I’ll let you finish. But Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time … one of the best videos of all time!”
Kanye was booed off the stage and removed from the venue. Later in the show, Beyone won Video of the Year and, remembering what it was like being nominated for a VMA at age 17 with Destiny’s Child, she called Taylor back to the stage, saying “I’d like Taylor to come out and have her moment.”
Kanye’s Apology To Taylor Swift

I like the lyrics about being a cheerleader and she’s in the bleachers! I’m in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment!”
“Beyoncé‘s video was the best of this decade!!!! I’m sorry to my fans if I let you guys down!!!! I’m sorry to my friends at MTV. I will apologize to Taylor 2mrw,” “Welcome to the real world!!!! Everybody wanna booooo me but I’m a fan of real pop culture!!! No disrespect but we watchin’ the show at the crib right now cause…well you know!!!! I’m still happy for Taylor!!!! Boooyaaawwww!!!!
