Robert Earl Keen and Friends will perform “A Texas Uprising” at the Battleship Texas Centennial Celebration on March 15, 2014. Hosted by the Battleship Texas Foundation and Texas Parks & Wildlife, the event will include a full day of fun for your entire family.
This event is a celebration to honor the Battleship Texas, her legendary history and the men who served on her. The festival will be held on the grounds surrounding the Battleship Texas and will feature educational exhibits, a World War I and World War II historical zone, ship tours, a children’s activity zone, concessions, shops and live entertainment throughout the day including Robert Earl Keen, Reckless Kelly, Charlie Robison, and Bruce Robison & Kelly Willis, plus a celebratory fireworks display.

After serving in both World War I and World War II, Battleship Texas in 1948 became the first battleship memorial museum in the nation. Since then, millions have visited the ship, which has been designated a National Historic Landmark and a National Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark.
