Fans of the CMA Music Festival in Nashville will soon get a localized taste of “Country Music’s Biggest Party,” as Crisco Presents the Road To CMA Music Festival a free, 10-market tour in April making stops in Atlanta; Baton Rouge; Birmingham; Dallas; Houston; Jackson, Miss.; Mobile, Ala.; Orlando; San Antonio; and Tampa.
The Crisco Presents the Road To CMA Music Festival tour, with partners that include Bush’s Baked Beans, CremeSavers candies, Greased Lightning cleaning products and Southwest Airlines, offers free-to-the-public, concert performances in Wal-Mart parking lots. “Being invited to play a tour of Wal-Mart stores around the country is such a huge opportunity,” said Jennifer Nettles, lead singer of trio Sugarland. “This is our first record, and I can’t think of a better way for us to reach out to our fans everywhere.”
“I am thrilled to be one of the artists invited to literally ‘sing the praises’ of the 2005 CMA Music Festival,” offered Linda Davis. “With CMA’s passion for promoting Country Music aligned with partners like Crisco, Bush’s Baked Beans, CremeSavers, Greased Lightning and Southwest Airlines, the public will be reminded of the quality, fun and heart-driven messages that come from Country Music, its writers and artists.”
“This tour is not only a great means of exposing the CMA Music Festival and our terrific event partners, but it is also another platform to promote Country Music as a whole,” said Rick Murray, CMA Vice President of Strategic Marketing. “The artists playing this tour, giving their time and talents and meeting the fans, truly exemplify the CMA Music Festival and the entire Country Music format.”
“Crisco and Country Music are two American favorites, and together they make the perfect duet,” said Maribeth Badertscher, Communications Manager, The J.M.
