Lee Ann Womack recently wrapped the video shoot for Finding My Way Back Home, the first single and title track from her upcoming new album. Filmed at the Paramount Theater in Austin, Lee Ann’s performance is all smiles, flirtation, and that finger in the air when she hits those impossible notes. It comes off like a celebration – and for good reason. She’s backed in the video by her good pals Stoney Larue, Randy Rogers, and members of Reckless Kelly, who cameo as her band.
Music Row has already weighed in on the single, saying “Her soaring, head-to-the-sky, personality-packed vocal gets inside the “survivor” lyric perfectly. Very, very catchy.” listen to Finding My Way Back Home free sample / download from iTunes
Director Paul Boyd, who also directed Womack’s retro-styled video for Twenty Years & Two Husbands Ago, takes her back to Texas for her first performance video since Ashes By Now from her multi-platinum selling album, I Hope You Dance.
The Texas-bred Country queen has never looked better and no wonder – when her last album swept the Country Music Awards and earned the earnest applause of music critics across the country – Lee Ann realized that staying true to her inspiration was the only way to go. When the video debuts, long-time fans will be thrilled to see another special guest featured in the video – one who marks the growth of Womack’s career over the past six years better than anyone else could!
