Great American Country (GAC) connects country music fans with their favorite artists at the 2007 CMA Music Festival this week in Nashville.
The GAC booth inside the Nashville Convention Center will play host to dozens of artists, who will mingle with fans, sign autographs and pose for personalized photos. Artists scheduled to appear include 2007 ACM Top New Male Vocalist winner Rodney Atkins, ACM-nominee Chris Young, Keith Anderson, Van Zant, Lonestar, Jamie O’Neal, Billy Gilman and former “7th Heaven” TV star-turned country singer Beverly Mitchell. GAC will once again serve as presenting sponsor of CMA Celebrity Close Up, a series of intimate interviews with country music artists, moderated by GAC personality Lorianne Crook. The conversations take place before a live audience at the Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville in two sessions on Thursday, June 7.
The first session, which starts at 1:30 p.m. CT, will feature Platinum recording artists Trace Adkins, Terri Clark and Josh Turner. Session two, which begins at 4:00 p.m. CT, includes former CMA Vocal Duo of the Year Montgomery Gentry, fan favorite Neal McCoy and Country Music Hall of Fame member Charley Pride.
This marks the third consecutive year that GAC will present CMA Celebrity Close Up, which gives fans an in-depth look into an artist’s life and career. GAC will air the two-part series in July.
