How It All Started
Last October, the music world was rocked by the news that Cross Canadian Ragweed was reuniting after 15 years. Their one-night-only show with Turnpike Troubadours in Stillwater turned into a four-night residency due to an unprecedented demand for tickets. Over 180,000 pre-sale tickets were gone in just two days, leaving thousands still waiting for a chance to witness the magic. Now, fans who missed out—or just can’t get enough—have another opportunity to catch these Red Dirt icons live.
A Stacked Lineup in Waco
McLane Stadium is set to host a lineup that screams Texas country and Red Dirt at its finest. Alongside Cross Canadian Ragweed and Turnpike Troubadours, the bill features American Aquarium, Wade Bowen, and Shane Smith & The Saints. It’s a night destined to be filled with raw energy, nostalgia, and pure musical grit.
Pre-sale registration opens at 10 a.m. Central on February 11th at www.theboysfromoklahoma.com, with pre-sales kicking off on February 18th. If there are any tickets left, the public sale will begin on February 21st—but if the Stillwater shows were any indication, you’ll want to act fast.
Baylor University is Ready for the Party
Baylor University officials are rolling out the welcome mat for this massive event. “We can’t wait to welcome The Boys from Oklahoma down I-35 and into the heart of Texas,” said Jason Cook, Baylor’s Vice President of Marketing and Communications. “This event will be a perfect way to kick off the fall semester as we head into the football season opener against Auburn the following weekend.”
A Special Homecoming for Wade Bowen
For Cross Canadian Ragweed frontman Cody Canada, bringing this show to Texas was an easy decision. “Texas has always supported our music, and Waco is central to that fan base. Plus, Wade Bowen is family—he was the first person I picked for this show. We’re playing for the friends who’ve supported us from the start, and we can’t wait.”
When asked if this was just the beginning of a full tour, Canada kept it simple: “We don’t have a plan for that right now. It’s one town, one show at a time. But with the success in Stillwater, we’d have to be crazy not to bring this to Texas. The love we’ve received is beyond belief. The wave started in Stillwater, and now we’re riding it to Texas to see where it takes us next.”
Don’t miss your chance to be part of history—register for pre-sale access today and get ready for a night of unforgettable music under the Texas sky.
