The landscape of large music festivals changes every year but this year we’re excited to be attending ACL and know there are a lot of great acts to see. Country Music at ACL Fest in the heart of Texas is perfect fit! If you’re on your way too, you probably know we’ve got Kacey Musgraves to look forward to on Sunday.
What can’t the woman do? It promises to be a major set and wild event for all of her fans, and for more of the locals and visitors that will be exposed to her style and undoubtedly fall in love.
From her ACL bio: Multiple Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves released her third studio album Golden Hour on March 30, 2018, earning Kacey her third No. 1 debut on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and distinguishing Kacey as the third artist ever to take home Album of the Year at the GRAMMY Awards, Country Music Association Awards, and Academy of Country Music Awards. Kacey took home four GRAMMY Awards for Album of The Year and Best Country Album, Best Country Solo Performance for “Butterflies,” and Best Country Song for “Space Cowboy.”
Other Country Music artist you might want to see that may be under the radar for you include Asleep at the Wheel and Tyler Childers.
If you aren’t a local, Asleep at the Wheel might not be on your radar, but they are by all means a Texan staple. The band has actually been around since 1969 if you can believe that, and 10 Grammys will tell you their creative blend of country mixed with swing and flair will be a blast to experience.
Tyler Childers was new to me until recently – but wow! What a style. If you are into country with a little folk and bluegrass, you won’t want want to miss this set Weekend 2. You can actually check him out now if you hop online – he has announced plans to provide fans with a free livestream of his upcoming show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Monday, September 30. Childers will stream the concert, which is the first date on his “Country Squire Run” and features Robert Earl Keen as a special guest, on his YouTube channel.
