Clint Black's new CD The Love Songs, a twelve song collection of his most memorable love songs, is just what the "love doctor" ordered for your special Valentine.
"The I-love-you-you-love-me collection works beautifully," writes Frank Roberts of The Virginian Pilot. "He is joined by his wife, Lisa Hartman Black, on "When I Said I Do." Carolyn Dawn Johnson is his partner on "Our Kind of Love," one of the CD's best."
"This is a roundup of some of Clint Black's earlier heartbeat songs, some close to the original arrangements, some veering a little toward left field. All of them, though, are lovingly performed by Black, who wrote or co-wrote every one except the finale, a reprise of Jim Croce's "I'll Have to Say I Love You in a Song." "Don't look for joy unfounded; do look for 12 heart-throbbers with Black lovingly imparting the eternal message "ain't love grand."
The Love Songs is in stores now. Look for a new full length album of original songs later this year.
Clint Black has won numerous awards, including CMA Horizon Award, CMA Male Vocalist of the Year, ACM Best Male Vocalists, and ACM Album of the Year.
