Blake Shelton’s Home has reached the top of the charts, R&R Singles Chart and MediaBase Singles Chart, marking Shelton’s fourth career number 1. Written by Michael Bublé, Amy Foster-Gillies and Alan Chang and originally recorded by Bublé, Home follows in the success of Austin, The Baby and Some Beach, which collectively held the No.1 spot for thirteen weeks.
I loved Home the first time I heard it and I really love it now, jokes Shelton. Im glad Im not the only one that thought it was a country song. Ive had the honor of performing Home with Michael Bublé on a couple of occasions and can honestly say he is a really great guy and I think as a writer hes probably pretty excited that its reached No. 1, too.”
Written and first released by Canadian singer Michael Buble, “Home” finds Blake wrapping his signature vocals around a lyric and melody steeped in love and longing. It’s the kind of passionate performance that has marked many of the highlights of Blake’s career—songs like “Austin,” “The Baby” and “Goodbye Time.”
